Veteran Disability Benefits At Historic Rate
The country's newest veterans are filing for disability benefits at a historic rate.
Officials said 45 percent of the 1.6 million veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have filed injury claims.
After the gulf war of the early 90s, 21 percent of veterans filed claims.
The government said the veterans are claiming an average of eight-to-nine ailments.
The injuries include back problems, hearing loss and post-traumatic stress.
