EL PASO - A week long clinic is underway to protect veterans from the flu.

The clinic is administering flu shots to eligible veterans at Cohen Stadium on 9700 Gateway North.

The 2010-2011 flu vaccine is a one-dose shot that protects against influenza A virus, an influenza B virus and the 2009 H1N1 virus that caused so much illness last season.

The clinics are being held today through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Veterans must present their VA ID cards to receive the free vaccine.
