Some students at UTEP were awarded grants from the Department of Education. The grant will support four doctoral mechanical engineering students. Each received a $30,000 stipend, full tuition, supplies, and computer equipment funding for three years. The primary goal is to increase the number of hispanic doctoral students trained in transformational technologies to develop affordable, abundant and low-carbon energy.
