EL PASO — UTEP will be hopping with free fun for kids of all ages during the first “Spring into Health 2012” event featuring the “Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt” from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, March 31 at Leech Grove and on the Geology Lawn, in the center of campus.
Children’s activities include jumping balloons, relay races, face painting, body tattoos and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Adults can take part in glucose and cholesterol testing, bone density screenings, body fat analysis, and more.
Organized by the School of Nursing’s Accelerated Fast Track Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, the health fair is an opportunity to enlighten the public about health issues in a fun and entertaining way.
“Being part of the School of Nursing, we have a responsibility to promote and educate our community on how to become healthier,” said Kenneth Stice, president of the UTEP Accelerated Nursing Program student organization. “It’s a great opportunity to promote and educate the community about health issues through a great fun family event.”
