It's UTEP versus Tulsa tonight at the Sunbowl. The conference game is being nationally televised by ESPN. NewsChannel 9 spoke with a lot of fans who were really excited about that.
Tailgating on campus didn't officially start until 4:00 p.m. Despite it being a Wednesday, students and fans turned out for the festivities before the game.
NewsChannel 9 caught up with some students playing volley ball and singing karaoke and other games like that at a non-alcoholic tailgate. There was also a military tailgate across campus. That's where the army and navy was barbecuing and hanging out. Most fans we spoke with said it was all about getting pumped up for the big game and supporting the UTEP Miners.
