A fugitive wanted since March 2011 for various acts of violence was arrested by US Marshals Friday.

April Cardoza, 24, of El Paso was wanted for racketeering with multiple instances of violent crimes in the El Paso/Juarez area.

Cardoza was located late Thursday night in Juarez by Mexico officials at the home of her husband, Ricardo  "Nano" Zuniga. Zuniga was recently arrested for his alleged involvement in a double murder in June 2009.

"Law enforcement on both sides of the border are working together on many different fronts," Robert Almonte, the United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas said.  “ We are proud to be taking part in serious efforts to curb the international crime predominant in our area and to decrease the amount of violence occurring in Juarez, Mexico.”
