If you drive through the intersection of Country Club and River Run, you're probably used to it by now. Slowing down to a halt and weaving between rows of construction barrels. It's a drive that "drives" people crazy.
Orlando Cervantes tells us, "I think it stinks. I think it's terrible. You have two lanes coming here side by side, within inches you know."
"It's pretty annoying. There's so many car accidents, just on a straight-away. People rear-ending each other. I see it almost everyday," says Kevin Spence.
And it's gonna be like this for a little while longer. That's because the construction of what's known as a "Roundabout" has been delayed.
It's essentially a circular road at a place that would normally be an intersection. When finished, traffic "should'' flow effortlessly without the need for lights.
It was was supposed to be finished last month but recent winter storms have forced delays.
One person we spoke with didn't mind the longer wait.
"It's been so many months so far, I mean why not stick out the next two. I'm pretty much used to it," says Spence.
But even when the project is finished, drivers have their doubts about whether it will work.
Cervantes exclaims, "In the long run, it probably will. If it was designed correctly."
"This, I don't know exactly how it's gonna work out, it looks kinda confusing, but I guess we'll see what happens," says Spence.
They'll find out next month when the "Roundabout" is finished.
