We know more today about the Fort Bliss soldier who died after crashing his motorcycle.
The accident happened Thursday night at 1600 N. Copia. Police found that the driver who has not yet been identified, was driving a 2008 black Harley Davidson before 7 in the evening. He lost control of the motorcycle and ran over the right curb, striking the cement bridge abutment. He was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
The driver of a yellow mustang says the soldier was trying to get him to race when he past and lost control. Witnesses said they heard revving before the accident.
Some of his fellow soldiers at the scene said he had been stationed at Fort Bliss since 2008.
