Police Say Shooting Victims Drove Away From Scene

Police have released the identities of two shooting victims that were found at a home on the 7600 Block of Alpine in the Lower Valley.

Investigators say 34-year-old David Reyes and 36-year-old Brian Winn were shot on the 10400 Block of Darin before driving themselves to the Alpine home, almost four miles away.

From there Winn was taken to the hospital with non-life-threating gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Police found Reyes' body in a car parked in the driveway.

On Sunday, Winn's wife told NewsChannel 9 she lives at the house with him and their 5 children.

Winn's wife insists the shooting is not drug related.

She says she doesn't know why anyone would shoot her husband and his friend and doesn't know what they were doing on Darin Street.

One family living on the street where the shooting happened found a bullet hole in their truck parked outside.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-8477 (TIPS).
