UPDATE: Police arrest man in Central El Paso triple stabbing
EL PASO — El Paso police arrested Jesse Vasquez, 36, in connection with the murder of MIriam Aguirre, 32.
According to police, Vasquez turned himself into police headquarters on Saturday afternoon, hours after he allegedly stabbed Aguirre and two other victims.
Police responded to a fight at an apartment on Florence St. at 4:00a.m. Saturday. Aguirre had been stabbed several times and died on the scene.
Enrique Contreras, 32, and Alma Dominguez, 30, were also cut. Dominguez was treated for minor injuries and released. Contreras remains in serious condition in the hospital.
Vasquez fled the scene before police arrived, but is now in the El Paso County Jail charged with murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault.
