EL PASO - Sometimes no news, is good news. The massive wildfire in Arizona has not gotten closer to power lines that feed electricity to El Paso.
The Wallow Fire is about 15 miles southwest of major El Paso Electric transmission lines. Those lines supply about 30 percent of the power that we get here in the Borderland.
We're told the fire hasn't spread since yesterday, and El Paso Electric said they're optimistic the flames will stay put.
However, rolling blackouts are still a possibility. EP Electric said they'll continue to monitor the fire, through the weekend.
