Tonight there is still no work on how an El Paso County Inmate died after he escaped through the trash dumpster.

Investigators believe Carlos Medina-Bailon made his getaway using a trash dumpster in the loading dock of the Downtown Detention Center.

Hours later his mangled body was found at a landfill in Sunland Park, New Mexico.

Initial reports suggest Bailon suffocated or was crushed to death. His body has been given to the medical examiner to determine a cause of death.

Bailon was serving time for several drug charges.
