Update: massive central El Paso fire
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Update: Friday's massive apartment fire in Central El Paso.
The two story building on Raynor and Pershing was destroyed in a fire that started at 3:30 a.m.. Friday morning.
At 8 a.m.. Saturday morning, the fire department canceled it's fire watch , which means it no longer has crews monitoring to ensure the fire did not flare up again. The department has turned the scene over to a security company to make sure no one trespasses. The building will be demolished but it's unclear when that will happen. The cause is still unknown.
