EL PASO - According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, a driver was killed in an overnight rollover crash Friday.
The crash happened at approximately 2:40 a.m. near Montana and Zaragoza.
Deputies arrived on the scene to find a yellow Ford Mustang upside down in the eastbound lanes of Montana.
Sherrif's Spokesperson Deputy Angelica Becerra said one person inside the vehicle died at the scene.
According to investigators, the Mustang was traveling north on Zaragoza, and was trying to merge onto Montana when the driver lost control and hit the wall of the Montana overpass.
The Mustang rolled several times before it landed on its roof.
Investigators said the driver was speeding.
Alcohol is also suspected to be a factor in the crash because deputies found beer cans near the vehicle.
