The car fell 30 feet before landing in a nearby business.

Police said she was speeding and something may have distracted her before she drove off the overpass. Police said alcohol may have also played a role in the crash.

The repairs are related to the crash. EPDoT crews began repairing the guardrails today and will continue to work on the bridge located just south of Interstate 10 until further notice. The bridge’s southbound lanes will remain open.
Proper traffic control measures will be in place to direct the traveling public through this area for this period. Traffic will be detoured through nearby streets.
