UPDATE: 'Boil Water Alert' in El Paso Ends Tomorrow
EL PASO – El Paso Water Utilities has said that it plans to end a boil water alert by midday tomorrow.
The alert has been in place since Friday, when EPWU officials said contaminants from the air and soil could potentially enter into pipes because of low pressure and breaks in the system.
Water quality tests have shown no contaminants so far, but EPWU said it is waiting on final test results from areas experiencing low water pressure before lifting the alert.
EPWU also said Tuesday morning that all water service had been returned to customers and reservoirs have returned to adequate levels.
