UPDATE-- Erin Nicole Marquez is doing well and doctors have given her the green light to come home as early as tomorrow.

The doctors found four holes in her heart and were able to repair the largest one. The heart surgery was a week ago. She has slowly been gaining back her strength and can stand up on her own.

The car show benefit was a huge success and it raised $3200.

 

 

EL PASO- A one-year-old girl is about to undergo her second open heart surgery and her family is raising money to pay for the expenses.

Erin Marquez was born on January 5, 2011 with a hole in her heart.

The Marquez family and several organizations put on a car show in east El Paso Saturday to raise money.

Car owners paid $10 to show off their rides, and help support baby Erin.

She'll be flying to San Antonio for her operation Sunday, and her entire family will be at her side.
