Experts say women in Texas face a greater-than-average risk of being diagnosed with cervical cancer.
During this month, which is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, women are being urged to get regular screenings.
About 13,000 American women are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year; and even though it's one of the most treatable and preventable types of cancer, 4,000 women die of the disease each year.
