Texas has executed inmate Jose Villegas, who fatally stabbed three members of one family; a 24-year-old woman, her 3-year-old son, and her 51-year-old mother in 2001.

Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court denied Villegas' request for a stay of execution.

According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Villegas stabbed the family then took a television and vehicle.

Before Villegas was put to death, he said, "I would like to remind my children once again I love them. Crazy J I forgot to write a list, everything is ok. I love you all, and I love my children. I am at peace. John 14:27, I am done warden."
