A two-year-old is dead in the lower valley.
A viewer called into our newsroom telling us police were investigating a crime scene at an apartment complex.
The El Paso Police Department says emergency crews were called to the apartment shortly around noon on Friday where a two-year-old boy was found unconscious.
The toddler was pronounced dead upon his arrival at Del Sol Medical Center.
A man who lives in the apartment complex says he got a text message from his sister saying that the boy's father had physically harmed his son.
Neighbors are in shock to hear what happened.
"They seem like a normally family, hearing about this was a complete shock. Why was he beating them? It just doesn't make sense. He wouldn't ever hit a child, for any reason," said neighbor Richard Brown.
No charges have been filed, but police are calling the 2-year-old's death suspicious and it remains under investigation.
