SUNLAND PARK - Sunland Park Mayor Pro-Tem Daniel Salinas and City Manager Jaime Aguilera remained behind bars on Sunday.

Police arrested them Saturday night for allegedly blackmailing mayoral candidate Gerardo Hernandez. Hernandez claims they're behind an attempt to force him out of the race by releasing a sex-tape.

Their charges include extortion and tampering with evidence.
