El Paso Police responded to a report of a dog attack on the 1400 block of Chelsea St. near Wagner Ln. just after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday night.

El Paso Fire Department dispatch has confirmed that they have transported a man and a young boy from the scene with serious injuries.

Authorities were unable to confirm the age of the patients, the breed of the dog involved or if the dog involved in the attack had been captured.

News Channel 9 spoke to the 4-year-old’s grandfather who said the boy was in the backyard playing when a stray boxer jumped over the fence and attacked the boy. He said he wasn’t sure how bad the injuries were.
