Two people are dead after being hit by a car in east El Paso.
It happened just after 2 this morning off of Lee Trevino in front of Towne Center.
Lee Trevino was closed off in both directions from Vista Del Sol to Pellicano for nearly four hours.
Police say a hispanic male and hispanic female in their mid-20s were crossing the northbound lanes of Lee Trevino towards Towne Center when they were hit by a silver Honda. Both victims died at the scene.
We're told they were not using a crosswalk.
Police questioned the driver after the accident. They believe alcohol may be a factor but it is too early to know for sure.
