EL PASO-- El Paso County District Clerk Gilbert Sanchez and former County Judge, Luther Jones have been indicted by a federal grand jury.
Sanchez reportedly held a staff meeting at the County Courthouse first thing this morning and told his staff that he has been indicted.
NewsChannel 9 was at the FBI office when both men were there meeting with agents. NewsChannel 9 spoke to both men and their attorneys and working on those stories for NewsChannel 9 at 5 and 6.
The indictment alleges Sanchez accepted money and trips while helping to get a bid for a computer contractor. The allegations suggest Jones represented the contractor and paid the bribes.
