Two men charged with racing on busy West El Paso street

Police charged two men with racing on a busy street in West El Paso. 

According to El Paso police, Richard Mena, 22, and Elijah Cisneros, 17, were racing on Resler St. near Belvidere at 11:01 p.m. Thursday.  Police said both drivers were traveling at speeds of more than 75 miles per hour.  Resler is a 35 mile per hour zone.

Mena, who was driving a Ford Mustang, and Cisneros, who was driving a Honda Civic, were arrested and charged with racing on a highway.  They were booked into the El Paso County Jail under a $300 bond each.
