Two men accused of sexual crimes against children
LAS CRUCES, NM — Two men are charged with sexual crimes against children: one is in jail, the other is on the loose.
The Third Judicial District Attorney's office says 34-year-old Fernando Munoz is charged with 13 counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child and incest on several occasions, dating back to 2009.
Munoz is accused of forcing the child to take birth control and watch porn.
Munoz is currently in the Doña Ana County Detention Facility with a bond set at $250,000.
Meanwhile, David Alvarado Herrera of Sunland Park is charged with 33 counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child and incest dating back to 2010.
Authorities think the 33-year-old Mexican national fled to his home country.
His bond, if caught, is set at 100-thousand dollars.
