El Paso--A crash in Northeast El Paso claims the life of a Fort Bliss soldier. He's the second fort bliss soldier to die this week.

A 20-year-old soldier was killed after hitting an SUV head on on Walter Jones around 7:30 this morning. Police say he somehow lost control and veered into westbound traffic, hitting the SUV and then another car. He was transported to Beaumont Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Investigators do not know the exact cause of the crash but do not believe speed or alcohol were factors. His identity has not been released but we do know the soldier is not from El Paso. The other two drivers, also Fort Bliss soldiers, were not seriously hurt.

Another Fort Bliss soldier was killed in Iraq this week. 25 year-old army Sergeant Joshua Soto died after being hit by a roadside bomb on Tuesday. He was serving at Tallil Air Base, which is about 190 miles southeast of Baghdad. Soto had a wife and a 10 month-old son. He will be buried in his hometown in California.
