Two EPISD employees fired

School board gives no explanation
EL PASO, Texas — An eruption of applause at Monday's school board meeting as Vanessa Foreman and Luis Liano of E.P.I.S.D. were fired.
Their lawyer tells us, they will be protest this decision. The board didn't meet with the employees' lawyer. She had requested just a few minutes to defend her clients.
Title 1 Schools Director, Vanessa Foreman's contract was not renewed.
She was given notice that she could be let go on Wednesday of last week. No reasons were given in the notice nor at the meeting.
The other contract not renewed, was District Athletics Facilitator, Luis Liano. No reason was given for his firing either.
The school board did not want to comment, saying these are personnel matters and they can't comment.

I heard the lawyer of these 2 individuals say that the EPISD Board did not afford her 2 clients their due process rights. Well where were these 2 individuals (and their lawyer) when Garcia and these 2 cohorts (and the Board and others) were denying students their education? As far as the Board is concerned - too little and way too late. I did not applaud last night. I would of if in addition to the firing, the board had resigned in mass.
