Trucker jack knifes on Loop 375, faces DWI charges
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A truck and trailer jack-knifed and struck a center cable barrier on Loop 375, and a drunk driver is to blame, police said.
Officers responded to the crash early Tuesday morning, saying driver Carlos Jurado, 55, showed signs of intoxication. An investigation found that Jurado’s blood alcohol content was 0.18, over twice the legal limit. Jurado was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a charge of DWI with a BAC over 0.15. His bond was set at $750.00.
There were no other vehicles or people involved in the crash and no injuries were reported.
