EL PASO- Blackouts still haven't hit the borderland, but we've met a viewer who has power issues.  It's not a fire that caused the problem, but a food delivery truck.  And our Troubleshooters team hopes to deliver results.

"We're trying to figure out who's going to pay for the damages and who's responsible," said Juan Apodaca.

He and several of his neighbors are in the dark after a truck ran into some electrical lines attached to Apodaca's home.

"It actually was pulled out of the roof obtaining a hole up here," Apodaca showed us.

The gap leads right into Juan's home, and is a fire hazard.  The fire department told him that if water leaks in the hole, it could short his wires, and set the home on fire.

But flames are not Apodaca's only worry.

The telephone pole that was affected by the accident still shakes quite a bit.  Neighbors around here are concerned that if a windstorm picks up, the pole could knock over, taking down lots of wires with it.

So who's going to pay to fix the problems?  Right after the accident, El Paso Electric installed a new telephone pole, but that was it.

They say Shamrock Foods, owner of the delivery truck, should pay for Apodaca's repairs.

The food company stops short at taking responsibility, but said in a statement, "We are aware of the situation and are working closely with the appropriate parties to identify the cause...Shamrock Foods Company can always be counted on as a responsible part of the community."

Apodaca says he's contacted both El Paso Electric and Shamrock Foods and gotten the runaround from both.

"It seems that everybody just seems to be passing the ball onto each other and we're not getting any answers.  It seems everybody we talk to just gives us a dead end," Apodaca said.

We'll be sure to follow up, because Juan Apodaca has a problem that he shouldn't have to fix.

they should charge the food company and meke them repair the damages, this is rediculous that
nobody wants to be the blame and no justice is
being done at all, what a shame, no respect at all.
