Deception Prevention Week Continues
EL PASO - At Newschannel 9, we always get phone calls from viewers who say say somebody's scammed them, or separated them from their money.
We're dedicating this week to helping you avoid these sorts of problems-- we're calling it Deception Prevention Week.
Here's our interview with Asst. County Attorney Ralph Girvin, on the issue of hot checks.

I'm a victim of a scam. Home Furnishings of Denver sold me, I made a down payment and the finance co. paid them for my furniture and now they are in the wind. They loaned me a sofa and love seat that is broken and missing parts. My furniture has never arrived and when I call they never answer or return my calls. I have to go down there to find out what's going on. Now they are gone. Now I have two pieces of furniture that aren't what I ordered and out my down payment. Finance Co what about?
