SOCORRO - Chalk up another one for the NewsChannel 9 Troubleshooters team.

An illegal dump behind a Socorro neighborhood is finally being cleaned up.

Manuel Garnica says crews have started to remove hundreds of tires and piles of trash from a desert lot behind his home.

Garnica called Troubleshooters two weeks ago after he says he go nowhere with the city or any agencies.

Less than two weeks after our report, the situation has changed and we are happy to report:  Case Closed.
