Troubleshooters: Disabled Man Cut Off From Checking Account Wants Help
EL PASO – Imagine living on a very fixed income, only to get cut off from your checking account. That's the situation one El Paso man finds himself in, tonight. He reached out to our Troubleshooters team for help.
David Huerta said the problem began after he wrote a check to AutoZone for $6.48. That said check cleared his bank a few days after he made a purchase. Then, a few days later, another transaction showed up on his account, with that same check number, for $500. Since then, Huerta hasn't been able to write checks or buy some of his necessities.
