Trial Postponed In Sherman Hemsley Will Battle
EL PASO — An El Paso County Judge was expected to make a decision Wednesday in the battle over the body of actor Sherman Hemsley, but it was once again postponed.
The Jefferson's TV star died three months ago and has yet to be buried. Hemsley's body remains at a morgue while his family and the executer fight over his burial.
Hemsley's will states that Flora Enchinton Bernal is the executer. His family is challenging Bernal and the will.
The trial was postponed because someone who lives in Pennsylvania could not make it due to Hurricane Sandy.
The DNA test ordered by the judge was complete and has been filed with the court.
A decision is now scheduled for Friday, November 9 at 9:30 a.m.
