Most Americans lost an hour of sleep over the weekend, and this morning NewsChannel 9 posted a story about "cyber loafing". A Penn State study reported that employees Monday were likely to be less productive on the job, spending more time surfing the web.
Facebook Fan Brittney Dean wrote:

"Can I use this as an excuse? Seeing as I'm clearly on Facebook anyways :)"

Many other Facebook Fans, agreed with the term cyberloafing, finding it harder to get back on their "A-Game" after losing sleep from Daylight Savings Time.

But here's something to wake viewers up: El Paso inventor Carlos Kato was in the running for a national Wal-Mart contest. Kaot was promoting his "personal misting umbrella," a 3-in-1 gadget protecting from rain, sun and heat.  If Kaot wins, the umbrella will sell on the Wal-Mart website and in stores across the country. Through April 3, individuals can vote via Facebook or texting, the full story is available here.

Closing out the NC9 Trending Now segment, Facebook fans voted to hear more about the 'humiliating punishment' story. Humiliation was one mother's attempt to teach her teen a lesson after he was caught stealing an iPod at school. Talesha Roberson made her son stand at the driveway of their home, holding a sign admitting his guilt.

"He has to stand out here all day today," Roberson said. "He's going to come in in about an hour and eat breakfast, but he has to come back out here."

Facebook Fan Joseph Steven Castruita told NC9:

"She has already failed him. As a parent, she should have never allowed it to get to this point. why has she waited until he was fourteen to get this message across to him?"

On the contrary, Herman Delgado wrote:

"Good for his mother....humiliate him! some parents need to take similar approaches, but they don't want to hurt their child's "feelings"."
