Trending Now: Cinnamon Craze, Clooney Handcuffed, Space Jumps
EL PASO — Friday’s trending stories were definitely some jaw-droppers. There was one in particular, that would even make one choke.
It's called the “cinammon dare” and on Friday it made trending headlines on the Yahoo website. It’s an internet sensation that calls for trying to swallow a spoonful of cinammon.
The challenge is practically impossible because the mouth does not have enough saliva to absorb it all.
There were reports of lung collapse from kids coughing so hard and even choking. Schools across the country have since issued warnings to parents and banned the spice from campus.
Turning heads on Twitter was actor George Clooney. Only this time it wasn’t not over a box office hit. Clooney, along with several others, were handcuffed and taken away in a secret service van after crossing a police line during a protest outside the Sudanese Embassy. The protesters accused the Sudanese president of provoking a humanitarian crisis that would cause famine in the country. Clooney was later released.

An Austrian skydiver jumped 72 thousand feet over the Earth’s surface. He was practicing for a record-breaking jump he plans to make above Roswell this summer. For that dive, he'll have to free fall 120 thousand feet. Read more about this story here.
