UPDATE 12:04 p.m. Thursday

TORNILLO, TX -  A train crashed into a car on the tracks at Oil Mill near Alameda in Tornillo shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival to the scene, Sheriff's Deputies found one male victim on the ground next to a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. Emergency medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment of severe head injuries.

Street traffic investigators from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office are trying to determine exactly what caused the accident .

Oil Mill is closed off to traffic, but trains are on schedule.  A railroad signal has been knocked down and is in need of repair.
