The public is advised that Loretto Road and Howze Street both in Central El Paso will be temporarily closed to through traffic effective immediately, the City of El Paso Department Transportation (EPDoT) announced today.

The closures located at Loretto between Montana Avenue and Ellis Street, and Howze between Trowbridge and Gary Owen Road will remain in effect until temporary repairs to the roadways are completed.

Tuesday’s heavy rains damaged the roads.

Proper traffic control measures will be in place to direct the traveling public through the affected areas while the repairs are in progress.
