We're learning more details about the arrest of former Socorro City Council Representative Jesse Gandara, Jr. After searching outside of his home yesterday, investigators found evidence of animal cruelty. Three chickens were dead, others were feeding off their carcasses, and a small black terrier was infested with fleas. Gandara bonded out of jail early this morning.

A mother forgives the unforgivable. The mother of John Cervoni reached out to the family of the man who hit and killed her son and his friend on the side of the road. Convicted drunk driver Hector Tellez will spend two 20-year sentences back to back, and a 15-year sentence at the same time. Tellez will be eligible for parole after 10 years on one of the charges.

A vacant home went up in flames in Central El Paso and damaged two homes next to it. It happened just after 12 on San Diego Avenue. The house is now considered condemned. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
