Too Much Sodium Harmful for Children

The warnings about too much sodium in your diet are fairly common, but what you might not realize is how it also affects blood pressure in children.
A study published in the October issue of "Pediatrics" examines whether sodium consumption and weight have an affect on blood pressure in kids. It looked at more than six-thousand children. The study concluded that kids with higher sodium intake had a higher risk for high blood pressure and possibly even more at risk for high blood pressure if they are overweight or obese.
