EL PASO - Customs and Border Protection seized more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana at the El Paso port of entry this weekend.

The pot was contained in a semi that entered the Bridge of the Americas cargo facility from Mexico. A drug-sniffing dog searched the trailer and alerted inspectors to the pot that was hidden in the floor of the empty trailer.

A Juarez man is under arrest on drug smuggling charges.
