Video game maker EA Sports is ending its association with golf icon Tiger Woods. There were 14 editions of the video game bearing Woods' name since 1998 and they were played by millions of golf fans across the world.

On EA's website, the company's general manager says the company and Woods made a mutual decision to end the partnership.

A market tracking company says EA sold 771-million-dollars worth of games boasting the Tiger Woods name over the years.

It's estimated Woods was earning more than six million dollars a year from the deal.
