Three local teachers are facing drug possession charges following a joint operation by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and the DEA.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael Beltran Saturday night. He's the head baseball coach at Cathedral High School and is charged with having between one and four grams of an un-named drug.

On Thursday, sheriff's deputies arrested Raul Gomez who’s an assistant coach for the girls’ basketball team at Del Valle High School.

Sheriff’s deputies also arrested Joe Solis on Thursday. He’s a counselor at Frank Macias Elementary School in the Clint Independent School District. Deputies said Solis had cocaine.

Jail records show all three men have been released from jail.

I know that those who are arrested are innocent until proven guilty but those 3 guys work in our schools and are suppossed to be role models and above reproach. They should know and understand that. If they are users then they should of seeked out help and gone into treatment, but since they got caught and law enforcement felt strong enough about the situation to arrest them then at the very least they should be suspended without pay. If they are dealers then fire the bums NOW!
