Two Stabbings in Downtown Over Weekend

New information on a weekend stabbing at a Downtown El Paso club that sent a security guard to the hospital. The two men arrested in the incident have been identified as 18-year-old Daniel Olivas and 21-year-old Jorge Gonzalez, both of Las Cruces. El Paso Police responded to Studio 69 in the 500 block of San Francisco, just after midnight Sunday. Investigators say Olivas and Gonzalez stabbed a security guard after a fight broke out. The security guard was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Olivas and Gonzalez are each facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

In another stabbing which happened Sunday night, police are asking for your help in tracking down the person responsible. Police say the victim was standing near the Greygound bus station on Overland Street when a large white van drove up to him. A man described as a thin black male got out of the van and argued with the victim before stabbing him several times. The victim remains in the hospital in critical condition.
