FORT BLISS - Many folks will receive flowers and chocolates this Valentine's Day, but our soldiers overseas will get a 30-second video.

Thousands of people took a few minutes out of their Friday to send some love to our soldiers overseas.

Fort Bliss, Freedom Crossing and the Association of the U.S. Army teamed up with AT&T to record video messages on a cell phone. They'll be sent to our soldiers for a nice visual surprise from home.

"We don't have internet right now, so we can't really Skype and see my husband. So, it's a way for him to see me and the boys," Melody Brake said.

Although many of the messages were personal, every message will be seen by up to 10-thousand men and women in uniform.

"I knew it would make him smile," Cheryl Rivera said. "It's also great for moral for all the troops."

The greetings will start playing on Valentine's Day, and they'll continue to be shown through the Spring.

Folks say, it's a great way to remind our soldiers that loved ones are waiting for them to return home safely.

Thank you to everyone who brought this opportunity to us all. I took my son out of school to be part of this and so he wouldn't miss out on a new way of letting his daddy know he misses him. He's so proud to have his picture on your site. Thank you again to you and everyone else involved. And thank you for your support both for our troops and for us families!
