Many brides have been waiting for Wednesday which is one of the most highly anticipated wedding dates of the year.

Even though the iconic date of 12-12-12 falls on a Wednesday, David's Bridal estimates more than 7,500 American brides will get married on Wednesday.

What's also special about the date is that 12-12-12 marks the last triple number sequence of the century.

Last year's big date was 11-11-11 and according to David's Bridal, 5,700 American couples got married that day, which was a Friday.
