ANTHONY, Texas - The Texas Rangers and FBI searched Anthony, Texas Mayor Art Franco's home as a part of an ongoing investigation Tuesday afternoon, according to Mayor Franco.

Investigators had a search warrant but Franco says he is fully cooperated with the investigation and handed over any documents the investigators asked for.

Franco refused to comment on what those documents were or what was on them. He did stress that he didn't have anything to hide and would tell us more after the investigation is completed.

"I feel confident that I haven't done anything wrong that I can justify what they're investigating," Franco said.

Franco has been mayor of Anthony for nearly 20 years. He doesn't plan on letting the investigation change the way the town is run.

We're working, we're moving forward and this is not going to affect that and I feel confident that when everything is finished everything is going to be ok," Franco said.

Franco showed up about several minutes late to a regularly scheduled council after investigators finished searching his home.
