Texas - Texas is not impressing anyone with its participation in the census.

In fact, participation was so poor, Texas may lose a congressional seat that it had hoped to gain.

The five worst performing states are New York, California, Texas, Arizona and Florida.

Twenty-eight states have met or exceeded their census rates from the year 2000.

It was highly expected that New York, California, Texas, Arizona and Florida would not meet the census rate. The majority of the people are scared to let anyone know they exist, and don't want to be found or they will be deported.

I filled out my census report the day it came in and mailed it out the very next day... it took like 5 minutes and was TOO easy! I don't understand why there was such bad participation. Lazy? What a shame. This country boasts about so much, yet can't even do the simplest things to help.
