Ten year old Miranda Paz found out she had leukemia last month on December 3rd.
The diagnosis came just two weeks after Miranda had made her own sacrifice for the program Locks of Love.
Miranda, her little sister and mother all donated their hair so it could be used to make wigs for children suffering from cancer.
Miranda and her family have a tough road ahead but they hope this story inspires others to make an unselfish donation.
If you are interested in donating to the Locks of Love program you can contact Sherry Ruiz' Salon at 575-523-4005.

Miranda,
I know sometimes life might seem unfair, but you'll find life is still worthwhile. Just keep on smiling and light up your face with gladness.
I know for a fact you have the strength to shoot the moon and put out the sun. You will fight with everything you got and wont think twice.
It's going to be hard but just remember Miranda who you are and thats a fighter.
I'm so proud of you. You will always be in my prayers. I know you are going to change the world.

Thank you for being such a caring young lady! Unselfish only later to find out you to have leukemia.
Remember - Your unselfishness to help someone else will not go un-noticed.
Sometimes we do not understand what our plan in life is, but it is later revealed in ways we do not understand, but the reward is something that is totally priceless.
God Bless You and Your Family and keep sharing your words, ideas and beautiful face to continue to inspire others.
