El Paso - - Parents at a borderland school are upset over how the school is handling allegations against a teacher.
The district attorney's office confirmed it is investigating Ramon Martinez on charges of indecency with a child. Martinez is a teacher and coach at Desert Hills Elementary in Horizon.
NewsChannel 9 was contacted by several parents at the school. They told us rumors started circulating weeks ago that a student had accused Martinez of misconduct.
Parents say the school however, never notified them about the allegations or that Martinez had been suspended because of the investigation.
Tonight, they want answers from the school and the district...
"The principal is not telling people what's going on. That's what I'm really upset about this problem. Tell the parents to make a meeting."
We contacted leaders with the Clint ISD and asked them whether they had notified parents about the investigation.
They would not give us a direct answer.
We should state again that the allegations are under investigation. No charges have been filed against Martinez.
